That is cool that they will only eat certain types of stars so it still allows you to keep others as clean up crew members.

Yep!
I really like serpent stars. They do such a good job at cleaning up after my fish.

Hey everyone, well my Lobo has been in the tank for a few days now. The angels are getting along with it fine. I figured the angels would be fine, but they havent seen it in a few months. My Regal ate all the sponges off the back of it, but I figured she would do that. I will be adding a few more corals this week.

Sounds good. I am glad to hear the fish still know to leave the corals alone.

It is so funny. Many of my friends tried angels in their tanks, and had a massacre. My angels will not even eat Polyps. I have tested 6 different Zoanthus and Palys on them, and they ignored all of them. I dont know if this is just due to the individual fish or the methods that I have trained them to eat. They do get a very diverse diet, as Follows:
Daphnia
Mysis Shrimp
Krill
Clams
Oysters
Scallops
Sponge
Silversides
Hikari Mega-Marine Angel
Hikari Mega-Marine Algae
Hikari Mega-Marine
Emerald Entree
Very High Protein Formula
San Fransico Brand Butterflt/Angel Formula
Salmon
Tuna
Tiger Shrimp
Ogo Freeze Dried Algae
Nori
Herbivore Pellets

I try not to feed the same food more than once per week. I feel as though it keeps the fish from getting bored with one thing, and thinking that they need to taste test my corals

usually it's the fish, but providing a good staple of food will help cut down on their likelihood to nip. granted, that can change at any moment, and I've often heard of fish being model citizens for years, then one day going after everything in the tank. good luck with the continued co-existence.

I know not to be too content with them. I am fully aware that they could decide to start war. But it is a risk I am willing to take.

Hello everyone.
Well my tank is starting to beg me for corals.
I started dosing Prodibio today. We will see how that goes. I figure I will give it a month or so before I notice any effects from it. But I hear of many people who swear by it.

As for corals, I am going slowly. My tank is over three months old and I only have introduced a single coral. (My big Red Lobo) There are also some ring of fire zoos, but they were already attached to the rock. For my next few corals I am thinking about adding a few nice acans and favias. I want to go slow with the corals. This will be a SPS dominated reef, but I always like to start with some easy (expensive) corals>
Help me decide what to add. Here is what I am deciding from currently:

I know the Latistellata is kinda brown in the pic, but I see potential.

Which ones should I add. And dont say all of them

I personally like the first two and the last two pictures you have posted and would be very happy with any one of those.

So it appears that we both have good taste and that sometimes equates to expensive. LOL Perhaps you could find a frag of them somewhere instead of mini colonies already.

Yeah that is an option.
I am so bad I have never bought LPS Frags, only SPS. Do they grow as well as SPS?
Sorry, I know that sounds like a newbie question (which I am) but I just dont know.

Given the right conditions they will grow just as fast if not faster than many sps corals.
