Project delay... I HATE THIS!!

I tried my best to get a **** leak on my 1.5in bulkhead in the back of the tank that is the drain for my CL to stop... I drained water from the tank, used more glue.. then silicone.. NOTHING.. **** thing wont stop.. the annoying thing was, it was BARELY leaking.. still, with a 180gal tank, even barely leaking is unacceptable... UGGGGGGGGGGGGGH!!!

I drained all water out...now have to disconnect the overflow drain (no prob, got union sockets and ball valves) and disconnect the OM4way (again, unions and ball valves make this pretty **** easy )...

It has been since April since I began this project... my website is already doing better than my tank LOL.... I ordered another 1.5in short bulkhead and a GF true union ball valve....they should be here by thursday... so I can reconnect everything and hopefully... HOPEFULLY.. finally getting this **** thing circulating on me.... I am CHOMPING at the bit to get the tank started already.

Good news is, the tank held up the tank just fine....I did not see any other leaks (yah, wait til pressurized water goes through the OM4way with threads..yuck, better not be leaks there)...so if we can just fix this lil prob, the tank will be running...

In the meantime, I can fix up my garage and get it ready for the next project... a FISH holding system... so i can get fish to you guys anywhere in the US... right now I have to rely on my supplier to ship and he can only get fish to the west coast overnight for a reasonable price... with the holding tank, i should be able to get you guys more fish , more variety, and still be way more affordable than most LFS.

FWIW and maybe someones elses pain will help you feel better.......... i had a bulkhead problem on my first OM 8-way build. It happened to be one of the bulkheads that were connected to the spraybars which had ZERO room to mess with anything. I had to modify all 8 lines with the tank against the wall to fix the problem. Ill spare you any further details but it SUCKED

Oh and to add insult to injury, I was banned from RC today.... now I understand why many have moved to TRT.

Some guy approached me about a group buy.. so he started a thread... I made a couple of mistakes of posting in this thread..I guess that is a no no....but guys were asking me questions....anyways, I also had my website and phone on my signature.. another mistake I guess... Last straw...today, they sent me an email AT HOME, even though I get all RC emails at WORK... so while I am not AT HOME, they tell me not to try and circumvent the suspension, and that if I try to do so, I will be done...

SO here I am at work, thinking everything is cool... I try to log on... because I just got an email notification AT WORK like I always do, that someone replied to the AC jr thread.... I try to view it, and it says my account is blocked.... WTF?? I try to log on again... and again.. make sure all my caps arent on... hello? Oh yah, they emailed me AT HOME, to let me know this.... smart guys... they dont see that I have email notifications to be sent to my work because that is where I am usually during the day...

Anyways, I didn't get these emails... and I couldnt log on... so I tried to open another account because I thought there was a mistake..

Well, the big guys there saw this, and jumped to a conclusion that I was trying to pull a fast one on them ( I wasnt, I never read the emails they sent to me at home because i was at work), so they send another email to my home saying I am DONE.. congratulations.. CHEERS... WTF??????

Talk about unfair... i was actually getting close to being a sponsor there... but after this... we will see...kind of sucks...

Sounds like an unfortunate misunderstanding.

I like RC, but I know they are quite sensitive about individual posters having links to their own commercial web sites in their sigs. The philosophy is that the sponsors of RC pay for ad space, so no one else should be able to “advertise for free” in their posts.

Although the situation appears to have been poorly handled on their part, I sympathize with their position on “commercial activity”.

So do I....I wasn't aware I couldnt have the info on my sig, I saw other people have info to their sites or numbers on there...maybe they weren't reef related I don't know.. point is, they didnt tell me I am not allowed to have that stuff on there..or I would have removed it immediately. They had a problem with a guy posting a fish group buy using me because I had a referal program on my site and they thought he was being compensated, but actually I just took over the site and told them the referal program was being axed, and sure enough I did axe it.

I understand their position. All I asked Doug for, was why the heck he emailed me at home when my email account for RC is my work email and the one i check for RC messages.... he said its because that is the email I used to contact him about a sponsorship ...well, yeah, but that was because anything business related i don't like to have go through my work, and also I was probably at home when I did it.

To tell you the truth, I usually can access my home email, but when my wife is on the laptop, email messages get pulled from the server, and dont get forwarded to my cell... so I had no idea I received warning emails from them notifying me I was suspended...so we'll see if they understand or not..

Whatever....back to my tank...today I should get the new bulkheads and ball valve to fix the drain side of my CL....and so hopefully I will have it fixed, and tomorrow we can fill the tank with water again and HOPEFULLY this time it will not leak... keepin my fingers crossed.

well, I still got an amazing group buy out of it, 40 people on the AC jr group buy... not bad...and I still have my wife, my baby, my health... there could be worse things... I will survive with or without Reef Central... Plenty of other avenues like HERE...I think if those punk moderators over there continue to overexert their power, more and more will flock to here. I am not saying I wasn't in the wrong, but a little common sense from the moderator would make him understand his warning emails went to the wrong address...and that the only reason I tried to sign up for another account was so I can CONTACT them to see what was wrong with my current account, since the emails sent to me went to an address I was not at.

Anyways, hopefully they will come to their senses, let go of their egos and understand I really was not trying to be sneaky.

Anyways, I have other avenues to spread the word, it might be a tad more challenging, but it might not as well

And today I will redo my plumbing and the big boy will be ready to run (keepin my fingers crossed)..
