the coraline is growing on it's own accord, nothing special done except to dose kalkwasser. I'm more than mildly impressed with it myself. The cutting board is probably 80% covered.

Wiskey - i am trying to skim wetter... i assume you mean the gate valve for the water, thereby raising the water level in the skimmer, correct (i almost hesitate asking this question, as it seems quite obvious)?

and one other thing; lately i've had some algae growth at the bottom of my tank where the cutting board meets the glass. I'm thankful that this is the only spot (there maybe a half inch between the edge of the cutting board and the front and side glass), as it's pretty easy to manually remove, but has anyone else noticed this? I'm assuming it due to the detrius that's finding it's way under the cutting board. Anybody have a good solution?
