My first montipora
I got a frag of a montipora, looks like is the M. stellata but I am not sure because of different pictures I have seen on the web. Sorry I cannot post a picture since I do not have a dig. camera.
Unfortunatly, on the way back home I had a near crash with a truck and my cooler went from the seat to the floor of the car and I have 4 small frags now. Would they be ok?
I was told to just stick the frag in a cravice on the rock, I did that. is this ok? I tryed different places for the frags, in my 20gal there is no much choice for it, actually is kind of good it broke this way I have more choices were to put it, the biggest piece is half way on the rocks, dirrectly inder the lights and the spraybar.
Any advice you may have is appreciated.

I'm glad everything was ok as far as not crashing.
Your frags should be just fine. I'd superglue then into place and you should be all set.

I would superglue them into a crevas as well so they don't blow away. What I would do is put all your little peices in diffrent flow/light conditions then you can see where they do/look best. When the others grow out a bit you can trade for other stuff and keep the one that looks nicest.

What's cool about putting them in different flow and light is that you can have 2 completely different looking corals later down the road.

Very true, the growth form is very diffrent depending on flow, and the color is iffrent depending on light. Acropora do the same thing, I think that is what makes them sooooo hard to ID, I have 2 slimer fraggs, and you would never know they were from the same mother colony.

I think he does ok, I see him taking some of the "stuff" my rocks are sheeding, I did not know that he would like sand when I got it; he is a little shy and stays behind the rocks most of the time and my yellow goby does chase him at times. But when is feeding time he'll come out. I had him for 4 months maybe.
