More flow?

I was very happy with my 20x turnover rate in my tank until I read a post somewhere about rates up to 150x and a 70x. Now, I have a 20gal tank and my closed loop has a mag5, but I have a Quietone good for 1300gph just laying around, this would give me 65x turnover rate minus what I loose because the elbows and height, may end up with 60x maybe.
The thing is, I like my softies, would they be ok with this much flow? if not, what are my coral options, I really don't want all SPS, I like a mixture of corals.

Ideas are welcome.

I have 70X turnover, the reason is that I want to keep deatris in suspention so the skimmer can get a fair wack at it. I noticed with less the deatris would tend to settle out on the rocks and bottom of the tank far too easy.

The other reason is that my tank is mostly SPS which LOVE flow.

If you are not having a deatris problem, don't worry about it. If you are it is just a matter of finding a lower flow place for your softies. I have a torch, blastos, 2 candycanes zoos and yellow pylops in my tank, they don't seem to mind the flow too much because I put them in places that are not cranked on. The other trick is to get random deffused flow by not pointing a nozzle right at a rock, but rather having it bounce off the glass first.

I notice that leathers love flow, my zoos are accually in a higher flow spot in my tank, but brain corals, and torches like to be in a little calmer envryoment.

It can be done, but the question is do you want to? Looking at your sig, what you have is probably quite happy with 20X and probably doesn't mind a little extra deatris either.

Whiskey

The debry does acumulate on the rock, part of my weekly duties is to blast it or the rock before a WC, it is not as much crap as it was before but it is not suspended. I will install a protein skimmer soon (HOB) to help with the clean up, this will ad some more flow, and my other idea was to have a PH in the tank for another 300gph.
