Missed you

Sorry I've been away sooo long! Back in October I lost my Mom and well, it took a toll on my life....
I'd like to be back here, if it's still ok?!
My husband took me down to Atlanta to see that beautiful Georgia Aquarium! Now that's something I truly wish everyone has a chance to see. Jelly fish pics came out ok, but of course the pics of the wall with the sharks and stingrays didn't. Got some blurry pics on a cell phone...beautiful Beluga whales, 1 male and 2 female-just stunning...Reef tank looked like it needed some help, there was a nice anemone tank and nice chiclid (I don't think my spellings too correct on the chiclid) but anyway it was a nice looking tank. We took the behind the scene tour, which I would highly recommend, if anyone heads there.
I've been reading some long running threads-Hop's and Whiskey-missing the pics though, and need to do some catching up...hope you'll have me back, I've missed you all.

Glad to have you back Viv. The Georgia Aquarium is truly amazing. I can spend a whole day there and not get bored.

Man, they really need to name that wall of glass at the end....I walked through the tunnel and cried...just couldn't believe what I was experiencing, next best thing to diving I guess (I'm not a diver) so for me it was as close to diving as I can get. Saying that it reminds me...the day we went there, Feb. 13th, the aquarium announced that they are going to allow diver's into the tank...I don't know all the particulars but they stated if you were licensed they were going to allow people to get in there with those 55 to 65,000 fish! Pretty awesome. At the end of the Ocean Voyager exhibit (where the wall of glass is located ) there is a sorta ampitheater, I think we must've sat there for about 2-3hours...just staring....3 huge whale sharks, stingrays swimming around like birds in the water, in schools,...thousands of fish...sand sharks laying egg pouches....I could go on and on...it was stunning, truly...

Glad to have you back Viv! Sorry to hear about your mother...

I also have to catch up with Hop's and Wiskeys thread, they grow so fast

Too bad the Georgia aquarium is so far away from here, it sounds really nice!
