I have a Siganus Puellus in 90x turnover and he does not seem to mind. He will jump into the 6100 stream just to swim it out. When I up it to 110-120x next month we will see how he does.

I put the 2 x 6100's on my 120G this weekend. With my tank volume of about 400L, I have about 60x turnover. Just observed my tank moments ago and noticed what looked like a Siganus doliatus spinning torpedo I'm sure my fish will get used to the extra flow in time

I have to disagree with you on this but what do I know right I have sand in my tank.
I have about 8.25X turn over in my skimmer and only 7.4X turn over on my return pump.

I think Wiskey is right... I want to be sure that my skimmer don't process already skimmed water. The only way to avoid that is a larger turnover on your sump than on the skimmer

Either way will work just fine.
In fact, there are people who are willing to spend extra money to "process already skimmed water". They buy those recirculating skimmers. Whether the benefits justify the extra costs is debatable.

He is right only if you have an underpowered skimmer.
Here is how I look at it. No skimmer is 100% efficient. So lets say that each skimmer is 80% efficient (although we know that is not true).

Just took some pictures of the new frags and corals.
My starboads keeps getting covered with algae (brown film, short green hair) Is this a matter of time (new tank), or do I have to keep it clean? Do any of you guys need to clean the starboard?

There are some other corals, I don't have a close-up of them yet... I do have a FTS Please look at my question in the post above. The corals are a bit brown (dark), but the're already start to lighten up.
The other picture is my bubble coral while having dinner
Hope you like the pictures.
