IT's ALIIIIIIIIIIIIIVE!!!

Abouttttttttttt time.. the tank is up and running, no leaks (knock on wood)....

But I do have a problem with my OM4way... I turn my dart on and I see air bubbles but dont really see lots of water flowing.. and I heard it clicking...knocking sound.. I think I might have to open it up and clean the drum which would suck...hope I dont have to move the tank to get back there to do that.

But tank is running, things are starting to pull together.. i will snap some pics soon.

SHOULD I START RUNNING OZONE NOW??

Are your air bubbles coming out of all of the ports or just one?? REason i ask is that if you have a tiny leak in your plumbing on the suction end, you will see bubbles in all ports...if you have a tiny leak in just one port the leak is in that line somewhere...creating a venturi kind of.......

Dont know what to say about the knocking although i am inclined to think it is a seperate issue fromn the bubbles.

CONGRATS on water flowing though. : )

hmm, well the airbubbles were coming in from all the ports...and it would really suck if there is ANY fricken leak anywhere... I know there is no water leaking, so I dont understand why I would have air leaking....i will check again when I get home.

thanks
Gal

Did you use flex pipe on the suction side of the cls?? If so, look at every joint from two angles.......more than likely the culprit joint will be sitting slightly crooked in the fitting. It wont necessarily EVER leak water.........

If of course thats what it is.

It might possibly be fixed by putting a rag underneath it and priming it around the edge about ten joints worth...then a shot of pvc glue.....let dry and then throw some epoxy over it. That will fix it 90% of the time, epoxy is just making sure, usually not necessary.

yah I did use flex....but I think there is more to it than that... i mean, that explains the air bubbles ok..but what explains the lack of flow?? I would imagine 3600 gph coming out of two 1inch ports would make it roughly 1800 (i know, maybe a lil less due to using smaller tubing etc) gph, that should just push a ton of water in the tank... and I wasnt seeing that... and it doesnt explain that all 4 outputs were operational at the same time...i.e. air bubbles coming out of all of them... I think there is a bigger prob with the OM4way... probably needs the drum to be cleaned....

But you might be right with the spa flex as well....I will look it over....the air bubbles would be the last of my concern if the **** thing actually pushed the amount of water it is suppose to...

Back to the drawing board again...**** closed loop, next time its nothing but tunzes for me..

I didnt catch the lack of flow part....OR the water coming out of all ports part..........something is wrong. You will need to take the unit out and check it out........are you sure there IS a drum inside it????...thats the only way i can think of water coming out all ports at once is if the drum isnt inside........that would give you seemingly less flow out of them as well. OM units rock..........you will love it when you get it figured out...im sure its a simple fix. Call Paul at OM. If he isnt there he will return your call asap. Ive had him return my calls about midnight on a weekend before.

I need to take the OM4way apart, make sure all my unions (including ball valves are flush closed, no air leaking in or out)..... but I think its the OM 4way.. maybe stuck in between ALL 4 ports.. the drum has holes for 2 opposite ports to be open at once... so if it somehow got stuck in between , it could explain the lack of flow.....I need to speak to Paul from OM but he is at a golf tournament this weekend.. so we will see if he gets back to me...that guy is a golf nut.. in the meantime, I will set up my 3x 6100 tunze and 2x6200 tunze and I should be able to survive til I get that extra 3600 gph from the Dart , dont you think??
