ya.......I knew better.....got careless
There really isnt any problem with the tank I dont think........It was just my methodology of moving a couple hundred corals out and back into a new tank.
If anyone can learn anything from this should they have to do soemthing similar, either get the dang thing built fast so they are only in that temp home for a day...........or set up the temp home better suited for the situation. simple as that.
One thing I didnt do was run any carbon. In hindsight I should have had carbon running through a reactor 24/7 for that tight fit. Might not have made a difference...but it surely couldnt have hurt

I had the same problem when I upgraded tanks... some of the corals just died for no apparent reason. Sorry to hear, hope that's the last one.

Looking beautiful as always, what camera do you use? Very nice pictures!
Do you think you'll have any nitrate issues removing the dsb?

Thanks Valerie
I use a nikon D80 and a tamron macro lens.
nitrate issues?? Not a chance. Ive had the other BB tank running a couple of years, it was just recently I took it down and rebuilt it to be polyp dominated. There is no doubt I will never be limited in how exactly I want to run a tank by a sandbed again.

Polyp tank looks amazing, sorry about all the issues with the SPS. I have to congradulate you on taking on something this big. No way I would do it, at least not at this point in my reef journey.

Thanks guys.
Ratpack.....I didnt have much of a choice in concern to the big tank rebuild. it was only a matter of time before the thing popped. I had been planning on replacing it with a better tank and going BB anyway.........but not for another year or two.....
And Ive been wanting to take care of my polyps better for a while anyway so it was just as easy to kill two birds with one stone. The polyp tank wasnt actually much of a tank "build" per se. it was more of just reaquascaping as the tank had previsouly been set up as a sps tank and i was already pleased with the set up so didnt really need to change much.
