I have been wanting to take a video of it for a while now. I will try to make one this weekend or next week. The movement in the tank is really cool and my false percula's have found a home on my xenia.

Isn't a 48"x24"x24" a 120?

(although, once you consider inside rather than outside dimensions, along with the space taken up by overflow chambers and rocks, it probably ends up being closer to 90 anyway).

This is also the main reason why I have three tanks. I don’t want anemones competing with soft coral competing with hard coral. Some animal always comes out on the short end if the stick in that situation.

I do one 5% water change and detritus siphoning session per week.
I agree with the chemical warfare thing, that is why I don't have any softies in my stony tank. There are a couple of digi's in my softie tank though. The problem I have is I see so much cool looking coral that I just HAVE to have, and I do have room, but then they grow,.....

Thanks for the writeup, how often do you blast off your LR and do water changes?

I want to see a video too

You are correct. It is 48"x18"24". I copied that off my website so it must have been wrong on there for at least year or longer now.

Thanks for pointing that out.

Lately, I have been really lazy. I blast the rocks with the turkey baster whenever I see something settling on the rocks. The Tunze pumps do a decent job of keeping things off the rocks as long as I keep the intakes clean though.

As far as water changes, I have not done one in a while. I might have done one this year and if I did, it was a small amount. I try to do a at least one 5 gallon change per month but I just haven't had the chance.

I'm not just talking color, I am talking the full pakage!, the growth, color, and most importantly the eyecatching FTS! You may have a head start, but remember, I have a much smaller tank to fill .

Thanks for the pic, you mind giving us a little insite into your husbadry? Water changes, how much, how often? Do you skim dry or do anything else to purposally keep nutreants up a little?

Thanks,
Whiskey

A little info on the 90g........... I do waterchanges every month or so nitrates are between 10-25ppm.....No detritus really builds up anywhere as I am running a spray bar closed loop that does very well with keeping it up ....I skim wet....Feed very heavy ... this tank consumes a large 3.5 oz package of mysiss every month...I also have a 20g seahorse tank that runs reverse lighting that is plumbed thru the 90g. Other than that this tank has very low maintance.. Oh and an army of 200+ snails keeps it all clean.

Also keep in mind this system has been up for 10yrs.....It has gone thru a few tank swaps but all orginal live rock from the orginal 75g is still in this tank and never was cooked or anything.........Everything except sps do very well in this tank
