I too no longer run a fuge; at least not a conventional one. The 30g that used to be my fuge has been replaced with a 40g which I'm currently using as a frag tank...also barebottom. I do keep some cheato crammed into one of those hang-on fish holding dividers as another place to keep my pods happy so technically I guess it can still be called a fuge As for my skimmer, I had a MTC Quad IV for many years before switching to my current MRC Dual Beckett MR-7. Now, THIS thing is a monster!

Right on, thanks for the answer, and you are not kidding, that is a HUGE skimmer (I looked it up) I bet that pulls out some crud.

gman, it's a nice looking acropora. that's what it is!. I've given up trying to identify acros anymore as it is nearly impossible once they've been acclimated to tank life. It's hard enough as it is for a scientist to do so in the wild, let alone us to identify it accurately in a tank with Veron's in front of us.
JMHO after doing this for the past 12 years.

I did, but they won't listen. Perhaps if I stop messing with them?
