Hey guys... I'm new to TRT and to Reef tanks... But here is my 55 gal BB... I'm working on finding new and less visible ways of getting flow... The Rio's have to go... Waiting for new powerheads in the mail... Anyway.. here goes...

How about a overflow box looking area to attach your power heads and leaving only the nossles visible?

Well I have a few koralia looking type of powerheads that I think are a little less obtrusive... Then I can use the Rio's for water changes and mixing salt water and such... Now as long as my animals are happy I can deal with the eye sore, for a while... Eventually I want a 75 gal... I like the added depth and I can still use my lights... But that is a good idea... Are you talking like Reef Ready tanks? Just a black acrylic box with some holes drilled for the ends of the powerhead and some for intake?? Hmmm... I'll have to think about it...

Wish I can find the reef build to show you the pic. You have the idea of what I am referring to. Mainly its a black piece of plastic to siliconed w/ slits to allow water to flow in(similar to overflows or the reef ready item u mentioned). The back area can house your skimmer and the backing of your powerheads. You cust holes in the container to allow the nossles for the power heads

Awesome I'll have to think about it... Maybe it's worth doing... Even if I want to upgrade in a year or so... Thanks for the idea!

These pics are a little outdated.. I will have to post some new pics soon...
Does anyone have a hard time keeping detritus off the bottom. I really only have time to syphon once a week.
