Typically, that's not correct. Softies in particular do better in "dirtier" tanks, and the high flow often bothers softies and LPS more than benefits.

Hmm, now I wonder if I should do a closed loop for more flow now. I will mainly keep LPS I am sure since they are a little easier. Perhaps I will start a thread on high flow and BB, this isn't really one to discuss this since most are looking for photos.
