Hello All
New to this group and had some ?'s I have a 120 with a DSB that has been up for 2yrs. Wanting to go BB but unsure of thats involved. I have a bunch of custom shaped rocks I want to reuse but over run with mushrooms. Will cooking the rock get rid of the shrooms? I've tried cutting them but for everyone I cut they come back 2 or 3 fold!!! Also dont have any problems with the tank just dont want too.
Thanks Dave

Hmm, I thought I'd posted a picture of my tank in this thread. Here's my 150 work in progress.

OK, I am thinking of making my new 75g a BB, but it appears there aren't many LPS / softy tanks with BB. Are there issues with BB for LPS or softies or just most prefer SPS? I will only have a TEK 6x54 fixture, so I think I am limited to LPS and softies. Should I not do BB?

You can grow most SPS with T5 lights. Many of the advantages to BB are that it is easier to maintain very clean water and high flow which is required for SPS and not so important for soft corals

I may try some SPS then, andI am sure the high flow and cleaner water would benefit the LPS and softies, even if not needed, right?
Also, where do you get starboard and what are other option for the bare bottom other than just the glass? And what are the best places to put closed loop returns andin what direction? I would love to see some photos of other's CL. Just trying to get my plan together before I build anything.
