Awesome looking tank, what kind is it? I don't believe I've ever seen one like that without a frame around it, and it's so clean, wow...can you talk about it, I'd love to know about it, and how you took those pics, it almost looks like its the only thing lit up in a black room, very pretty!

Hmmm who's this spanky guy anyway? I think he's some kind of landscaper dude. Hmmm. Maybe he's an "undocumented" worker. I'd better get the hounds on him quick.

I've seen it said by people that know him well, that's he's a landscaper, chef in a restaurant, PE instructor at the local high school, water tester, scuba instructor, commercial fisherman, interior decorator, fishing guide, gay, straight, rich, poor, young, old.

Wasn't trying to be rude or anything...I've seen some articles that you (Spanky) have posted and I realize you are probably one of the early pioneers, but I still would like to know about your tank-unless you would just like to know that it is very lovely.

But you got it. It's a picture of the tank in a black room.

Viv,
We were just joking, Spanky is pretty much the Yoda of BB tanks. As such a lot of sand people like to poke fun at him or worse. So we are laughing with him. I can tell you this, if you follow his recipe you will have a successful and easy to maintain BB tank. His methodology is outlined in the "how to go BB thread" I know for a fact you already have one ingredient, snails!
