Thanks all, it is a little creepy looking isn't it? I figure every branch has put on 1/4 to 1/2 inch in the last month. It is in a lower light spot, and I was thinking about moving it up, but if it keeps up this growth I am going to leave it alone!

Thanks,
Whiskey

The biggest diffrence in my tank came when I realized that I had nowhere near the light I thought I did.

This is an exert from the "BB Bleaching Problem" thread I started where Geoff asked the same question.
Quote:

Ok, I just got done scanning this entire thread and I have an answer for you.

I really didn't change too many diffrent things in the last 3 months this thread has ran, I just kept changing the same couple of things.

I changed the hight of my single XM 10K bulb, and photo period a few times, up, down, ect, and changed the reflector and reflector position a few times. Finally I went to 2 XM 10K bulbs, and then turned the reflectors a couple of times, and moved these until I found a place I like them (now I don't want to touch them)

I started off the thread using Randy's 2 part, 1.5 months later I went back to using kalk. I had switched to the 2 part just before the thread had started. Provided this reactor I built works, I will not be changing this again either, although I may move or mount the reactor so it is a little harder to bump and nock over.

The skimmer is and has been a constant fight, I admit that I still need to do something here, and I do/will continue to mess with this. I moved the skimmer, changed how wet it runs, changed how much water goes through it, changed how much air goes through it, and changed how much water goes over the overflows changed the pump that runs it, ect,.. all in an attempt to get my nitrate from 5-10 to 0. In this area I have failed absulutally!, nitrate is still the same, I have even tried daily syphoning/cleaning and dailey blasting of the LR with ZERO effect to my readings.

Right now I love how my tank is going, this thread and all the people that have added to it have been a huge help, and I thank you all for your time and effert. My corals are growing, and now that things are doing ok I am reluctant to change anything, but this nitrate has to be fixed, even it it won't hurt anything I don't like it. I am looking into buying a bullet 2, with a pcx-150 to drive it, this will cost me $11.64 per month to run, but it should be capeable of cleaning up my water and then some, I think I would be able to keep a killer whale with that skimmer.

Thanks,
Whiskey
