A steel stand with glass doors would be very nice... But I'll think I will just use wood

I like the stand Gary made very much. Besides that I'm thinking in this direction. I like the pendant designs too.

I didn't remember every source of the pictures, I collected them from the internet and several boards.

I really like the pendant+stand combination here.

Elos

Nice tank and stand, can't remember the owner

And the last one, a stand build by Flint&Eric. Minimalistic design, I like it very much.

Are you still using the glass in your LAIIIs? I also have 3 of them over my display and another over the propagation tank and don't get any splash on mine. I wanted to also suggest that the heat within the fixture could reduce the life of the bulb if not force-vented - they put out alot more heat than the standard reflectors. I can't wait to see this set up Leonardo!

I love the rimless/minimalist/pendant look! Are you building your own stand or buying one?

Panic; I will think about forced ventilation. I will use the glass (very thin layer tempered) because my tangs do splash sometimes and I don't want my bulbs to be shattered

Aquasalt; Thank you! I will build the stand myself

Flint&Eric; Thank you. Welcome to TRT! I would like to say that I like your website (blog) very much. Good source of inspiration.

The build is taking much longer then I thought. Because of my plans to move out I can't start the build yet.
After thinking and calculating a lot I won't move out this year so the build will start soon in the room I have now

Leonardo,

Thanks for the kind words. You should make a site for your new build I am sure once the new set up is running we'll have to feature it on our site.

What direction do you think you'll be going on the stand?

e&f

P.S. We're jealous of all your Tunze's! Should be great flow.

I'm making plans for a site, it will be online this summer! It would be great to have my new tank featured on your site of course.

The stand will look like the examples above, but I will make a sketch within a few days

I noticed in my frag tank and also a bit in the FF, not enough flow can be (partially) the cause of algae problems and tissue recession. Because I don't want that kind of problems in the future, I invested much in proper flow.

The stand and pendant will be very simple. Very clean, white stand and a custom pendant with the lumenarcs and T5 in it.
This pendant will be connected to a large house-ventilator (large capacity) so all the salt myst, moisture and heat will be leave the tank and the room as fast as possible.

Because the high cost of electricity over here (about $ 0.28 / KWH !) and the fact that I will move to my own appartement soon, I'll use 3 250 watt DE bulbs instead of 3 400 Watt SE.

Combined with the 4x 80 watt T5, you think this will be sufficient lighting?

Leonardo

it might be interesting to go with 1 400w lamp on a moving light rail.
