Extremely Wet Water Change

Any advantage to doing this?

I drilled my Deltec AP600 cup to accept a drain line because I got sick and tired of emptying it every day. I decided to create a backflow on my skimmer so I could skim extremely wet to do my weekly 5 gallon water change. Any advantage to doing this? Figured I am removing the nastiest water from the wet skimmate vs. siphoning off the "Good Stuff"... Now, of course my tank remains detritus free, so I still use my siphon and baster from time to time..

Any thoughts..

You might want to baste all your live rock then do that, get allot of that junk out.

Thats the way to do it. I skim 2 gallons per day and vaccum my sump. Thats my water changes!
