Cooking the rock (Small question)

Ok Ive been reading cooking process by SeanT (Thankyou very much) and i did it today
One question - Do you need a heater in the tub?
I have one in there - should i take it out or wont it matter

As long as it can stay in the 70's, I think you'll be ok. In the last few weeks (before you put the rocks back in the tank, assuming you still have a display set up) it would probably be best to keep the water around the same temp as the tank, but a few degrees either way won't be a big deal.
