Aquascaping?
I have not done a BB tank for several years and the tank I did have that was BB was only set up for a few weeks before turning it to DSB.
My problem now is that I can't figure out how to aquascape it. I can't get the rock to balance with out touching the side glass. I am also trying to keep as much of the rock off the bottom as possible to help with flow near the bottom. Is there something I can "glue" the rocks to the bottom of the tank with? I have had almost no luck at all with anything sticking to the rocks underwater. Is there another way? I'm not to thrilled about sitting there and drilling holes in all the rocks for zip straps or dolls.
I had one of the tanks set up and was just about to call it done after about 2 hours of jacking around with it and one of the bridges wasn't quite solid enough and I went to adjust it and it fell all over the place, so I had to start all over.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That's a whole lot of rock. How about trying to build some pvc/eggcrate support structure? That would keep the rock off the bottom and allow for a more stable foundation to build upon.

The only I could get around this problem was to drill 3 holes in the bottom of the rocks I want to set on the bottom, and insert 3 cut off peices of plastic coat hanger into each rock. This kept the bottom rocks stable, and aloud me to stack the top ones sucessfully, but you said you did not want to drill,...... You can't really see the rods, that is why I did it that way.
Old pic so you can see what I came up with,

I'm not a fan of the rock rack. I would rather drill. I wonder what it would cost for 6 feet of 3/8 inch titanium rod?

acrilic rod would be cheaper, and easer to cut , the superglue that holds it into the hole sticks better too, plus it's clear. Another option is the clear hard airline tubes that they sell at LFS's, just make sure you use the larger ones, 1/4 or bigger because they are stronger, and we are holding the rock up.

Not sure if you've seen this link before or not:

Some here in TCMAS, and maybe others elsewhere, are using the orange fiberglass rods (driveway markers) instead of the plastic coat hangers. Same idea though.

Thanks whiskey. This is really easy. The rock frills like soft wood.

No problem, glad I could help
Nice open aquascape, that should alow for plenty of flow around the rocks.
Although the rock drills easy, you may want to replace that bit, (incase you want to use if for wood) it destroyed mine, but I drilled alot of rocks.
