Get those rocks out of your sump! They just act like a big wet dry and trap a ton of stuff.

Looks Great! I think 800 GPH return is enough for a 180. That's 4.44 X/H, anymore I usually shoot for around 2-5X and a skimmer that about matches it.

Thanks Leonardo, they are Tinker's buttefly, and I am trying to unload them so if anybody is interested let me know.

This is my personal tank, not the business, but I stuck them in there because they were too expensive of an investment to put in my fish holding room

Wisky, yah I suppose it isnt bad. When I get my new skimmer, I will plumb the overflow straight to the skimmer, no feeding it.

Cant wait to get that rock out of the sump and into the tank... hopefully the SPS will survive all this stuff... I also need to work on redoing the UV since it is leaking...with the UV back to work, rocks in the tank, clean sump... wow..this system will actually LOOK like a BB tank lol.

I'm confused, could you explain this a bit more?

Thanks,
Steve

What I meant was, the water coming from my overflow will be plumbed to go straight to the skimmer, instead of going to the sump first, and then using a separate pump to feed the skimmer.
