4 penductors in a 292???enough

my other thread was kinda burried cause it wasnt really asking about flow. so tank is 72x36x26 high pennisula style external overflow on one end.. think that 4 penductors from my basement return via iwaki 100 with 1.5 inch pipe will be good? or i also have a sequence 4200 pump for a CL if need be..

if you did a CL where would you put it.. and thanks to those who already commented on this for me. i also have a ocean motions 4 way but cant think of how to use it... so probaly will sell it... i think...

Four penductors would probably be a tidalwave. You might not have enough juice to run four off of the single pump. I've got one penductor on a cls run by a 1,000 gph pressure rated pump(4' tank). Lets just say its very effective.

I think you good to go. Thats exactly how I would of set up my tank if I could do it over again. I would run the penductors on the CL and use the 4200 for you return. Have you thought about a siphon break on your return? Its hard to do with penductors, think about it..........

i have a 2 inch check valve.. i dont think the sequence 4200 will pump water from my basement up top.. so you are thinking the iwaki 100 on a CL with 4 eductors, and the sequence 4200 for a return pump.. would it be better to sell the sequence 4200 for like a pressure pump such as a gen x pump or iwaki 55 or 70 something for the return and maybe pop one penductor on the end of it?

Check vavles will always fail in saltwater enviroments. Figure out what the head loss is on the 4200 in your application and go from there. Trust me you be much better of using your eductors on your closed loop.

ok.... i have the swing style check valve.. they have always worked for me in the past.. what would make them fail? the 4200 looks like 12 foot max head... http://www.mdminc.com/Sequence_750.htm
so not sure if that will be enough... i will see what i can get i want probaly about 1000 gph at the 10 or 12 foot head..

i am going to try and get a mak 4 for my basemetn return pump and use the iwaki 100 on a CL with 4 eductors.. with 1 2" drain for now. and i will add another 2" drain for the sequence 4200 if i want to add it sometime maybe.. probaly should just sell it i guess and use the mak 4 as a return and iwaki cl.. shouldnt need anything else for flow...this way i can put the iwaki cl and penductors on the same side as the overflow pointing out against the other side and hope the flow going across the bottom will be enough to keep it clean
