Question

20 gallon BB skimmer?

I need to know what a good skimmer would be for me to get? I have a 20 gallon aquarium and want to set it up BB for ease of care when I go away to college. This set up would have no sump, and have moderate flow. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

thanks

I have a 20 gallon I'm setting up also. I think I'm going to get this skimmer for it.

I found a couple of reviews on the other board and a couple of people said they liked it. It is 22 1/2 inches high though so may not fit if you don't have room for it to hang below the tank.

Here's a couple of other skimmers I've been looking at Octopus HB-100F
http://www.aquacave.com/detail.aspx?ID=1013
But this skimmer looks like it would dump bubbles into the tank

Bermuda aquatics Archipelago

Looks like a nice skimmer supposed to have a non clogging venturi. Requires a 300gph pump sedra 2500 recommended. It's a little on the expensive side. I've read a review that claims it out skims a remora by truckloads.

Have you looked at one of the Tunze DOC skimmers? The nano might work well for you.
