Wow, there's just not a whole lot of reefers in AZ is there? Sucks being down in my neck of the woods as the nearest saltwater LFS is 2 hours away in Tucson. Ugg. At least I found out there is a pet store in Sierra Vista that actually does carry a pretty good amount of saltwater products even though they don't have livestock.

Hi everyone I'm new to the forum! Originally from Indiana, but moved to AZ about 6 years ago. I'm located in Scottsdale. I had a SW tank in college (10 years ago), getting ready to set up another SW tank with my 47 gallon. Where is the best place to buy live rock in Phoenix? I've hit several LFS and the prices for LR are all over the map. I've seen as low as 3.49/lb to as high as 12.99/lb.

Craigslist is great place to find rock from folks getting out of the hobby for one reason or another. I bought all my rock from there and average was 1 dollar a pound. Some Dried, Some live. it all becomes live in healthy aquarium.

Also where in Indiana you from, I grew up there as well.

I'm from a small town called Frankfort. It's near Lafayette and 45 minutes north of Indianapolis. My college roommate (I'm a Boilermaker!!) and I would travel to Harbor Aquatics in NW Indiana to buy live rock. It was awesome and cheap. I think I read somewhere online that they closed a few years ago. Too bad. Where are you from?

I'm relatively new to the hobby. I have been dabbling in it for three years. I now have a BC29 with a jbj 12dx refugium. Well i live in mesa and i do not know a single person in this hobby. My family loves the tank and my wife has no idea on how expensive this hobby is tg. I'm always getting stuff shipped in, i just tell her that the shipping is the most expensive part (fingers crossed). Anyhow this hobby can be extremely time consuming, it would be nice to know a few people who also enjoy it as much as i do.
