I shop at either Majestic Sea Life or at Oasis Tropical fish. I usually get different things from both places at pretty good prices. I know alot of people shop at a place called At The Reef in Phoenix.

About the Reef is the best store in town IMHO, and Aquatouch comes in a close second. Pets inc is also worth a visit.

I have been to About the reef, it was nice, went to the Ocean floor and they have good FW stuff and lots of dry goods but did not check prices since I was not buying any.
The place that was most impresive to me was Aquatouch.
I will have to make a trip to Tucson next.

I have been in ocean floor as well, but would not buy coral there (prices through the roof) I do buy some dry goods though, since they are perty much right down the street. I buy most of my FW fish there too, but good luck getting somebody to help you .

Yeah Ocean floor is ok for FW, but I wouldn't buy any SW there. I have been to about the reef they are great they have one of the largest coral selections around and they quarantine their fish before they sell. I have never been to Aquatouch. The only other place I buy from is Ocean Arts they are pretty helpful and they have a discount card so can earn store credit on future purchases.

Aqua Touch is by far the best i've been to. About The Reef, is much closer to home however, i've also been going to them for about 5 yrs now (ever since they were Aquarium Vu on University, actually i liked that building much more than the new) on occasion i will stop in at Aquarium Arts-just to see what they have, but only rarely will i buy anything.

If anyone lives in the Mesa area, Aquarium Arts is reasonable on livestock. Accessories, however, are high. I have been to the Ocean Floor but I never purchased anything from there.

Aquarium Arts has upgraded... they no longer have FW, so thats good news for people who live nearby. the last time i was at About The Reef, the staff was not so friendly, and i have seen this steadily happening lately... (sounds like they are looking for someone who looks like they have money, i really dont like that feeling... especially since ive been in the hobby longer than most people and everytime im there i know exactly what im looking for. also, they're prices seem to be alot higher on livestock than they used to be...) Aquarium Arts is where i will be doing most of my shopping from now on, About the reef is where i will buy LR only.

Aquarium Arts (in Mesa) is awesome!
Their prices are a bit higher, but the quality is great!

I'm not saying names but at a couple major lfs in phx, you HAVE to Q.T all your corals!!!!!! I have personally seen monti eating nudies, red bugs, flat worms and all sorts of other really bad pests (these are also in "show tanks" by the way). Just beware you might be buying a really nice coral that is going to cause you to lose everything if you don't Q.T!!!! It is a good lesson to always q.t to protect your livestock
