Been involved with wet pets most of my life. Started with fresh water in the 70's and 80's, then to SW Fish Only in the 80's and 90's. Quit fish all together then I inherited a 29 gallon reef early last year and now I am hooked all over again.

I'm Brad. I am just getting into saltwater. I am going to be doing a reef tank and I bought a 150gal tank on ebay for $500 with stand, lights, filter, plastic plants... I am going to turn around and sell the stuff I dont need, but I am really getting into this! I think I am addicted... I guess there are worse addictions.

Destiny
Was snooping around the web and excited to see this forum set up -- I've been wanting to get into SW for years (specifically, reef) but have moved around too much to make it feasible. Currently renovating a house in PHX though, and recently realized that I have a good spot for a tank -- visible from multiple rooms, yet out of traffic flow, not in the sunlight, etc.
So long story short, I'm willing to take it as destiny that this forum was set up just a couple days before I decided to go searching around on the web, after a hiatus of a couple years.

Hi Everyone,
My husband (Jonathan) and I (Julie) have a small zoo at our house (9 Horses - 6 Paints, 3 Quarter Horses, 1 Retired Show Cat - BigBoy, 5 Border Collies, 1 Standard Poodle and 3 Loads of Wet Pets: 1 - 125 gallon fresh, 1 - 50 gallon marine and 1 - 24 gallon Nano Cube Deluxe).
We're just getting started with the Nano for my husband's reef tank and currently have it set up with 20 something pounds of live rock, LED night lights, 2 - 50/50 lights, 1 over grown blue leg hermit (no clue what he really is, he's not a blue leg, but doesn't seem to be the "typical" hermit you see), and he's named Crab Puff, 3 peppermint shrimp (Larry, Moe and Curly), 1 short spine urchin (Lurch) and just added a clam (don't know if it's a maxima or a crocia).
We're looking to add some corals, so if anyone's got any ideas, please suggest! The reef is completely new to us!

Hey I want in!!
I just notice this forum, never really scralled down this much to see it.
My name is Luis, I just moved to Yuma last July for work, a company I worked for during the 80's & 90's offerme a position so I am back with them. Lived in the Chicago-NW Indiana area before and had a 90gal tank, mostly fish with some coral.
Now my current tank is only a 20gal because of restrictions at the apartment complex I live. Looking forward to share with you guys.

Hello
Well I just happened to stumble in to this forum, but I'm glad I did I was really hoping to find some local enthusiasts. My name is Frank and I have had some type of fish tank since the age of 6. I currently have a 55gal tank and I'm trying to move my tank into a reef tank from a LRFO sort. I have a about 50 lbs of live rock and 40 lbs of crushed coral sub. I getting ready to remove the cc and move to a sand bottom, replace my standard light with at least some pc lighting, get a protein skimmer, and build a stand for my tank. My in habitats include a blue damsel, a emerald crab, a brittle star, and a couple of turbo snails. As you can tell I'm really excited about this hobby and have a new interest in it with these forums. It's nice to meet everyone and I hope to see and hear of your progress with your tanks.

Hello everyone
My name is Jason and I moved to Yuma on the January 5th 2006. I am in the Marine Corps so I just got stationed here. I have been living in San Diego for the past 4 years and Okinawa, Japan the year before that. Living in San Diego was so nice because there are so many LFS around. Living out here in Yuma sucks because there is nowhere to get stuff without driving 3 hours. I have been into Freshwater tanks since I was about 12yrs old and I have been into Reef tanks for a little over a year now and I love it!! I currently have a 125gallon reef, 60 gallon sump, 2 x 20 gallon refugiums and 2 x 20 gallon frag tanks. The frag tanks are still not up and running though, I ran out of cash. I had a 60 gallon saltwater FOWLR while I lived in San Diego and sold everything before I moved here. I figured I would start over from scratch and get a larger tank once I got here. Man, I would have never guessed how expensive this hobby can really get. I still love it though. Recently I have been culturing my own Phytoplankton and hatching Brine Shrimp and it has been going good so far. I spend most of my time on my tanks and my wife hates it. Well, I look forward to one day meeting some of you and maybe trading frags or something. Later

Hi all,
I have been in this hobby for 12 years, and still love it as much as I did when I began. I am potentially transfering back to Texas, but if I can help it I would rather stay here. I am a current member of Aquariumadvice.com for the past 2 years. I found this form when someone recommended me to try this site since it was in my state.
I am glad to see some Arizonian enthusists in this hobby that I can share my experience with.
Mike
