Telly: what happens at 11pm?
The lights turn off, and the RK2 goes into 'night time' mode. A couple of the powerheads don't run durring night time mode. Gives the fish an easier time to 'sleep'.
GoingPoor, it cost me a little over $300. But, lemme tell you, it's worth every penny money. To have one device that controls everything.....it's heaven. Lights, Skimmers, pumps,
Calcium Reactor, water changes...etc. All controlled by one device. And the UI on the RK2 is really simple.
If something did happen, I could tell my wife what to 'click'. And..I can watch it turn on or off via web.
And...if something dramatic does happen (power outtage, heater goes bad), it'll text me. So I can be anywhere and recieve a text message saying that the tank needs help.
I also think of it as an insurance option. I mean, one bad crash, could easily cost me $100+. An ounce of pervention....
Eventually, when I have time, I'm going to setup my .sig in emails with a smaller picture of the tank, the tank temp and PH. Everything is stored in an access database, and it should be pretty easy to create a .aspx webpage to grab that info and display it.
