problem with gas is it goes bad if not used and then also if you are with out power for extended time more than likely your closest station is too. The way to go is auto on either propane or natural gas connected to an automatic transfer switch. That way when you have a outage and you are not home it does everything on its own. and Onan has a new one coming out for the home that will email or text you and tell you it is running and also if there is a problem with it. I do not know exact pricing or release date but i will keep my eyes open. Oh by the way I work for Cummins on the bigger industrial sized generators I work out of the Onan building.
