Times Are Ruff

I Feel Like Maybe We're The Only Ones Out There Going Through This ...but It Seems Like Times Are Getting Harder Between Gas Prices And Prices In The Store Rising All The Time Its Kinda Depressing.especially When You Have 4 Kids..so I Have Decided Im Going To Be Selling My Tank If Stuff Dont Change Really Soon I Have Even Listed My Car For Sell On Craigs List And If It Dont Go My Fish Tank Has To Just To Get The Extra Money We Need Right Now..so If Anyone Knows Of Something They For Sure Want Let Me Now...and What Should I Ask For The Whole Set-up?????? IT ALWAYS SEEMS LIKE I HAVE TO SACRIFICE BUT I GUESS THATS WHY WE LOVE OUR MOMS SO MUCH : )

IM NOT SURE WHAT MEANS MORE TO ME MY CAR OR FISHTANK BUT I GUESS OVER ALL ITS JUST A HOBBIE AND IM TOLD IM NOT ALLOWED TO HAVE EXSPENCIVE HOBBIES ANYMORE : (

I agree it's geing rediculas...

Reconsider selling the tank (if you can) you WILL regret it later...

There are think you can do to keep the costs down..
decrease photo period, with summer here that will help with tank temp... Frag and sell some of your corals.

The problem with selling the whloe thing is that everyone on this bord already has one andthe market in this area sucks. you might get 20-30 cents on the dollar from what you paid new.

For me it would be a absolute last resort.

I agree with the others. If you absolutely have to break your tank down to save some cash, I would recommend selling the livestock and hanging on to the tank and equipment. You will only get a fraction of what you paid and down the road when times are better you will want another tank. I hope you can hang in there and weather the storm.

yep.. times are definitely rough... I also agree that you won't get much back for the money invested on the drygoods... but, you also gotta do what you gotta do.

Unfortunately, I'm afraid things are only going to get worse. It's the next generation that I'm really worried about.
