R/O Unit

Is there a way to hook up an R/O unit to a regular water spout like the kind used for a garden hose. I looked for some kind of attatchment in HD with no luck. I have one under my sink but want to hook one up in the garage into a rubbermaid garbage can. This way I have a larger amount in reserve and not have to use the drinking water.
