Pulsing Xenia from bklynmet

A few weeks ago I got a Pulsing Xenia from bklynmet. When I moved it the other night I noticed a "fleshy" looking patch next to where it was. within in a day or two it started to show some growth. It's some baby Xenia (awe, it's so cute)

It's on a nice small 2" rock so in a few months I'll have some Xenia to swap!

Yep,If you leave a little left,Then it will grow more.

I must have thrown out buckets of this on sunday.....constantly pruning this stuff out of my tank.....then today I noticed my bicolour blennie busily munching on the polyps......I thought they were reef safe.....

Chris, Try to keep them isolated (like on a rock in the middle of the sand) so they don't spread all over your rocks - unless you want it to do that.

bklynmet is right, it can grow out of control if not isolated. I would love to put some in my tank, but fear it would get away from me and spread.

Mine grew like gangbusters, it spread all over the tank. I didn't mind because I really like it. After about 8 months, it started to shrink & recede. Now there is barely a trace of it. It's like it used up whatever element made it flourish & now it's done. Parameters are in check & everything else is doing fine.
I've heard stories of the same thing happening in other people's tanks.
