Ok I did a gallon of Kalk top-off water the other night and it raised my pH to about 8.4 and alkalinity to just under 300ppm. Do you know where I could find the conversion to find out on your scale what that reads?

So I did another gallon last night of topoff with kalk, but it didn't change my pH much at all. I'm thinking I might not have mixed it well enough. It was late, and I was tired. Here's a pic of my ghetto Kalk doser I made from a milk jug. The problem with it is that in the morning it's completely crumpled up from the air pressure of the water dripping out. Actually I just looked at the picture and realized how little I actually had mixed it last night. I was tired lol. I'll have to work on that!

I just got your message today (Friday night).

Perhaps next week, I'll drop it off. To be honest, IMHO, the cheapest and most effiecient way to do kalk is to DIY kalk reactor.

bklynmet and I built one for $25(?). Pump say is $10, and $15 for the PVC. I"ve been running my DIY reactor for over a year, no problems at all!

Just trying to help.
