Only lost one fish...
Well, my A/C condenser fan was making noise the other day. Monday evening it died. I went to work, and asked for a 4 hour vacation day. They authorized it. I left at 11, and I had to find a new fan motor for it. I made a few phone calls, and didn't have much luck. I located one finally last evening at about 4:30. The house was already up to 84. I changed it out, got it going and within 3 hours, it was cooled down to 80. I got home today, and my wife told me my hippo tang didn't make it. No idea why, but that was the only livestock damaged. I dumped the full freezer tray of ice cubes in the sump mid-day to keep it cool (the cubes are RO water) but apparently not good enough.
In the midst of all the confusion Monday night, I was filling the 55 gallon with a siphon tube off the Top-off tank. I figured the siphon would break and the 55 would stop filling.... wrong... the 55 overflowed during the morning Tuesday and I had to come home and vacuum the floor before I started on the A/C..
When it rains, it pours..
That was the hippo I got from Todd when I got the load of rock and the clownfish. I'm not sure how old it was, but it was good size.... at least 3-4"
Oh well.. the house is cool now, and I paid a LOT less for the motor than I had planned on.
