New skimmer setup (w/crappy FTS)

I finally set up the beckett skimmer I got from Jaim. It's still breaking in, but I'm confident that it's going to work well.





I'm loving all this freed up sump space!

what happened to the old skimmer? stopped working? keep us posted on jaim's beckett skimmer...

LOL...I think maybe any skimmer may need cleaned more often than a couple years....Just my Opinion....

Nice looking skimmer! What are you going to do with the old one? I have a project in mind

I've never really been impressed with the old skimmer--especially as my bioload grew. Plus I wanted a larger skimmer that I could move to a larger tank.

I've cleaned out the inside of the skimmer from time to time, but I think I've only cleaned the outside once or twice in the 5 yrs. it's been in the sump.

I'll probably try and sell the skimmer once it's all cleaned up.
