Nope, this is pretty much it! There are no real membership requirements other than to be in the area, a reefer, and I think we decided at least 10 posts or so. Welcome to the club!

We are kinda split 60-40 , with leaning toward those east of us as having a few more members.
THe club in it's current form was reborn from people in the SB area joining up with us here in NW Indiana when we were checking around about starting up our own club, and came across the nice folks in SB , and joined forces w/ them. They got new blood, and we got a established club that we invigorated so to speak with our numbers.
Tell us a lil about yourself, how you found out about TRT/NIMAS, reefing experience/time as a reefer, what part of NW Indiana you hail from, etc.(cuz a lot of times you'll find out you either already know someone here, or live close to a fellow club member,) Makes it nice when traveling to the "east side " for a meeting.(=carpool)

I've had my 75g for about 5 years now. I started out with crushed coral substrate, fake coral decorations, tap water, fluorescent lights, Fluval canister for filtration and only source of water movement, Seaclone skimmer, and some damsels. After finally doing some research on forums such as RC and Aquaria Central, I realized that everything I did was wrong and wasted alot of money. Currently in my 75g, I have about 3" of DSB, over 100# of Live Rock, use RO/DI water, JBJ power combact 4x 65w, Still use the fluval but took out alot of stuff (just use to run carbon, still have the biomax in there, prob should remove though), Hydor powerheads, AquaC Remora Skimmer, and only 3 fish now (Yellow tang, clown, and a green chromis), a brittle starfish, and some frogspawn which is starting to overrun my tank. The last couple years I havent been around much to take care of my tank and kind of let it get rundown. I just moved into a new house so I had to move it there and that kind of got me back into the tank. I am currently looking to upgrade the lights to metal halide so I can start keeping more corals, put a Aquafuge on back, and finally get more fish. Thats about all I can think of right now for my tank.
A little about me. I live in Schererville and am 25 years old. I found out about this from RC forum and am glad you guys are starting to get the club back up and running. I will try to contribute what little knowledge I have. It seems like there is so much to learn that I can never keep up with it all and will always be a rookie to salt. Thanks again for the welcome.

Honestly, I wouldn't try and move the tank while it is filled, so as far as the aquafuge goes, if it's worth draining the tank to have--there you go. I guess it depends on if you need it (as far as extra filtration goes) or if you want it (because it's cool and worth moving the tank for). Why don't you have a sump? Do you not want one or is the tank not set up for one? If the later, and you're going to drain the tank anyways, it might be worth it to reconfigure your tank to have a sump where you can have the remora AND a refugium all out of sight.
