Needle wheel impeller for a Mag 7

Anyone know if such a thing exists? I'd like to try and supercharge my Kent skimmer.

i don't know... a needle wheel will affect the gph through the pump... is your kent a venturi type? if so, is the venturi on the intake side or output side of the pump? it'd be pointless if on the output side cause you'd get larger bubles from the venturi mixing with it... it's my opinion anyway

It's on the intake side.

well dave, you question perked my interest and so I did a search on 5 different boards.. but was bumped from RC search since I'm not premium member.. the closest thing I could find was someone doing a DIY type NW that trimmed down the existing propeller down so a 1/2" pvc can be put over it... then he used plastic trim line from a weed-whacker as the needles... they were fed through drilled holes in the 1/2 pvc...

I personally think that mod would require a good deal of work because the housing doesn't have that much room for a mod type...

Yeah, sounds like a little more work than I wanted. I was hoping to just buy one if they made it. I have seen some people DIYing the mesh type wheels though. I'm wondering if the needle wheel that comes with the aquamedic pumps (the replacements for the Rios on the Turboflotors) would work--they look similar.
