A sticky.. great idea! I think I'll be willing to host a meeting sometime in March/April. Need to check with the boss to make sure it's ok.

My wife just informed me she (We) would be willing to host a meeting mid-February. We live in South Bend south side between Miami and Twyckenham just north of Ewing.
If anyone wants to do the planning, we have no idea what 'hosting' consists of other than coming to our place. You can see from my Signature what I have and it's pretty sparse. Any frags would be welcomed, but nothing to give out.

Let us know!

CRUD! Had a nice long post here about hosting "rules" (ain't no rules LOL) and i hit the wrong key and lost it all,,

oh well, here the short version:
After date and time is hashed out, directions are posted (or sent to those asking for them, if you don't want to post them on the board).
Basically a meeting (right now) is a bunch of us getting together, seeing the host's tank, ask ya questions about it. Those that have some to trade will bring frags to trade with other members, and a lotta times if you don't have any to trade , most always the other guys that do have extras of things, with give ya some. If you have a shop that is close to you, and it's open during the meetingtime, a lot of times the members will take a side trip to check them out.
Meetings usually last a couple hrs ,,some a lil more, some a lil less.
If there is anything that needs to be brought up concerning the club in general ,and is something best discussed in person vs here on the board, that might occur.
All in all, what happens during a meeting is a bunch of us get together, talk a lot, check out your tank, trade stuff(most/some times) drink a pepsi or two, or whatever ya got,and just talk reefs and stuff. Since we are small, and sorta young in this edition of the club, we don't hold serious type meetings, minutes taken etc. just a informal get together of guys that like reefs,
If anyone wants to add to this, feel free, in case i must something,,,

Alright, Here's the deal.
February 17th or 18th (Saturday or Sunday)
Whichever more people are able to make fit their schedules.
2pm-ish?
Again, discuss and find optimum times for everyone.

Fight it out!

It's official.. the wife gave the ok to host the meeting after this one. So it looks like late March early April for my house

Any day of the week preferences? I'm assuming Sat & Sun are easiest?
