If it didn't jump ...

If the sixline wrasse didn't jump out of the tank, then where could it be? I haven't seen it in two days. Any ideas? Wouldn't there be a carcass if it died in tank? Parameters do not show sign of elevated ammonia or nitrite.

The dog could be a possibility...

Oh, for those who were not at the meeting at my house, it's got eggcrate over the top just for the purpose of preventing jumping.

A fish that size could be eaten overnite--a scavenger buffet! It was probably some party!

the only scavangers in the 75 now are two serpent star fish, cleaner shrimp, and snails - no crabs... the crabs I do have (blue-leg hermits) are in the 20g.

I think it's possible for the serpent star fish to get it - if the wrasse wasn't moving...

Thanks Dave.

Well my six line whent into the tank then straight into a rock never to be seen again.

As for the serpent star, you would be suprised what they can catch and eat. I had one eat a 3" dragon wras before.

Good luck,
Brett

My 2 cleaner shrimp just finished cleaning off the meat from the skeleton of my Male Clarkii Clown the other day. One day he was in the tank doing good, the next day I found the skeleton in the pinchers of the shrimp...?
