Sounds like we need a club meeting/road trip one of these days That place is like a reefer's Mecca. Last time there I bought 200lbs of live rock.

Yeah, walking up and down their drygood ailses was incredible. Looks like they're not going to let people do that any more though.

It says that their livestock area is roughly the size of their entire old warehouse!

Will you still be able to walk through the livestock section? It is probably just as well for my wallet that you can't walk through the drygoods aisles

I'm SO ready!
Problem is, i'm working the weekends now ,(I'm way partial to going during the week, as i have done prob 98%of the time) to pick up a pre-order(and prob a few other things LOL),,Weekend trips are usually a minor PITA , with all the walk in customers there (but PA has always run the weekend /local walkin times, in super fashion ),,,,just reminds me of those sales when they open the store dorrs, and all those wimmen trample each other, to grab a wedding dress LOL

If someone does not make it on a road trip,,,and they prepay(i hate all the stuff involved with picking something up,=pay for it myself) i can pick stuff up for the Valpo area members when i go down there (i will let everyone know well in advance b4 i go down there) so if anyone wants to order stuff b4 i go down to PA,(and prepay) lemme know when i announce i'm going down there,,,,i usually leave early to make it when they open,,and scoot home b4 traffic gets lousy(er)

I'm not saying this as a "for sure " thing, but if we get a hold of Jason, and ask about possibly a trip down there as a club "function" , i would think that this might be able to be pulled off , let's say, during a weekday,,,if enuf members can get a certain day together,,,we prob will not be able to cruise the aisles tho, i've had less and less times too go thru the aisles when i pick up a pre-order,,,each time/place it was harder and harder to do,,,,(in the "old days," dry goods etc, the aisles were able to be walked thru, and pick up what you needed/check stuff out personally,,,but they got ripped off of a few hi buck things,,so that pretty much ended that good thing,,and another FYI, They do not take personal checks,,since they got again ripped off for some major league priced stuff,,,
I myself, can still write a check , but it took a bunch of times(writing checks over the years to PA/Jason, to prove that i was not gonna stiff them w/ a bad check,,,Plus Jason knows i tend to buy more stuff, when i write a check, vs cash in hand is not enuf LOL) I have a footnote in my customer invoice info, stating a personal check from me is OK,,but i always get the "we don't take checks " line from someone who does not know me,,even tho i show a email response from Jason, replying to my asking(everytime i used to order) if i could continue to write checks for goods, when i come down there,,so Jason put that "permission" statement ,from him, that i can write a check,,(it just took a bunch of years being a "good guy",,and i sincerely and grateful for the "special "treatment.)
Even during the weekday, everyone at PA is always busy going their jobs there,,just to let you know, a weekday visit will not be a relaxing/personalized one, you might possibly get someone to help you ,other than check out your order,,sometimes,,,,remember , they are usually super busy,,and might be able to give you one on one /personal treatment,,if you pick up stuff on a weekday,,Usually weekdays are pickup only,,with possible extra shopping/interaction with someone there, if you catch them in a slow period,,sometimes you will be lucky enuf to be able to get your stuff, inbetween someone doing their thing, online w/ a customer, or on the phone,,,
Like i mentioned,,if a weekday trip is penciled in, lemme know the day/time,,and i can but in a email to Jason, to ask him about going down there,,and hopefully catching them at a slow time,,,,as a club,,,,

If we do decide to go, we should wait until the livestock is 100% set back up.

I agree on the livestock being set back up thing. Any idea how long it will be?
