I was told by Jim Goff (midwest) that Jeff (Exotics & Aquatics owner) went to his accountant and was going to get a 3rd loan to keep the business going and was advised that a visit to a bankruptcy lawyer was the way he should go. Not trying to spread any rumors, just stating what I heard. He's going to have to get a better supplier than Holiday Coral if he hopes to compete with Midwest Corals.

I hate rumors..... I know one thing for sure - Midwest Coral is not enough for this area.. nice store with a NOT nice prices ... that is a reason why I go to Chicago..
since when Jeff and Jim share their problems?
I HOPE SOMEONE WILL OPEN STORE IN SOUTH BEND AREA!!! so far I do not mind driving even 2 hrs away - have two in one - Love Chicago + can get MUCH MORE and better there than here in Osceola..
ps. I still can not forget how MC acted when I told them 2 yrs ago about my tank - Aquapod 24G and basically they lost me right there... If someone love this hobby IT IS POSSIBLE !!! it is not all about 100-200-300 gallons... anyway.

When I went to get my rock from Midwest a couple weeks ago, I heard the same thing from the gentleman working there ( i don't think it was Jim though). Like Jaim said not trying to spread rumors thats just what I heard.

you're not the first person to get that vibe from them... try asking them about refugiumg and growing chaeto or tell them you have T5s... they look at you as if you from some other planet... i dont thnk he's quite grasped that there is more than one way to be successful.

I find I a little hard to believe that Jim and Jeff are even communicating let alone sharing bad news about E&As future

Yes I agree that MWC Is very "salty" (pardon the pun) and yes there prices
change one day to the next and yes their "pholisophies" on setup and very one sidded. But.... Go there on any give saturday and there packed. It's very simple if you dont like it dont go there.
Dont get me wrong... I'm not defending anyone here, but for me i'd rather pay a little more for corals and livestock from a clean place like MWC rather than save a few bucks buying from a very "un kept" place like E&A.
Just my $.02

Being in the same business, it doesn't surprise me that Jim knows a little about what's going on with E&A--though it was probably second hand from someone else. So, this is probably 3rd hand info once it got to us. Time will tell.
