Emerald Crab
Does anyone know where I can find an Emerald Crab? I don't think I have ever seen one at MWC, but I'm sure Jim could order one. I just wondered if anyone had one they wanted to get rid of, or knew somewhere that had them in stock.
Thanks!

Trying to get rid of bubble algae? That's what they're really good at doing. I have one in the 20 - though you don't see him out much when the lights are on. I can probably pick you up one from a shop in Lansing the next time I got up - Easter weekend. LMK.

I have purchased two from MWC. I was in ther today and I think they may have a little one in those small tanks towards the back of the coral tanks. The only thing mine did was pick on my male gold stripe maroon. They quickly were returned to MWC.

Yes, trying to get rid of bubble algae indeed. I have like, 15 different bubbles on the substrate. There are only 2-3 on live rock. Maybe he'll eat some of my featherdusters too... That one rock is just covered in them. I'll prolly call MWC and ask them if they do have one.

Make sure you get the "right" Emeralds for you tank, the two i had munched on stuff other than bubble(what i got them for) and as the biggest one was cutting the head of my Haw. feather duster, my wife said "they gotta go,,,,i don't care if they were $5 each,,we have stuff way more expensive in the tank" Took about most of the LR and everything else in the tank to be removed, but i got em all,,,,
I heard from a very reliable source (and a sponsor here on TRT- Keys Critters) that i prob ate stuff it did not have in it's normal locale,,,they usually don't eat/taste stuff from where they came from,,,
Boittom line , i quess it's best to get a Emerald and your corals , from the same region to have the best luck in not having a lot of your tanks plucked out,,,,the one's i had plucked at:
Candy canes
feather dusters
some other stuff i don't remember

I got another Emerald just last week at MWC, and last Saturday i know they had more. They don't do much for my bubble algae. I've had most luck manually removing it. Bubble aglae sucks!
