Do you use a Phosban reactor?

I just picked one up and will be installing it this weekend. I am going to run phosban as a preventitive measure. If I like it I will order another one to run carbon in.

So my question is, for those of you who use one, how do you like it. Are there anythings that I need to look out for or be careful of? I will be running it with a maxijet for now. When I redo my return plumbing to incorporate a frag tank I will have the phosban reactors powered by the same pump. Just looking for feedback. Thanks.

I just drop a bag of it my sump between the baffles every now and again. that way I don't have to plug ANOTHER device in. Seem to work OK for me.

Most large tanks use them Ive found through build threads. But I guess you really can just drop bags of the materials in a sump baffle and save $50. I never thought about that lol.

I have one and like it - and to keep from having to plug in one more thing I split a pump between the reactor and my UV sterilizer

Just got it hooked up and running. Seems to be working fine. Very easy to set up and clean/change media.

For those of you running Phosban, how long do you run it before changing out?

I ordered a TLF 150 like yours Aaron, expecting it Monday. Hoping it will cut back a little on the algae growth in my tank.

I've been running GFO (aka Phosban) in the TLF 150 reactor for about 4 months now and I've noticed a dramatic drop in algae covering the glasses. I run it 24/7 and am very happy with it. I'm planning to get another one to run it with carbon.

I just think it works better than throwing a bag of carbon or media into the sump. My corals are happy so I'm happy.

i just hooked one up and the filter at top is getn stuck at the top where the return is and slowly clops it up.. i have a maxijet hooked up to it.. im thinking if getn another one to run carbon in..does anyone know why this is happening?

anyone know what the problem is?..the media i put in it was some chalky light brown stuff .....160g for $18..it says 40g for each 40 gallons of water in your tank.. i have a 180g so i had to add the whole 160 grams
