Thanks. I posted some photos today as well of a DIY quick disconnect for the MH and DIY MOONLIGHTs (my pre-build to make sure the circuitry was good.)

I got 50 LEDs and resistors from a guy on EBAY for $5. Not bad. If it turns out well, I'll make moonlights for the 75g too.

I can then maybe make some for others or to bring to a swap - dunno yet. The biggest expense is the 12V transformer.

Got some LR from Midwest Corals yesterday... They're looking pretty good. You can check out the photos in the link below.

Just wondering where you got the child proof system for the new stand. I like the idea of the concelled lock with nothing on the outside

Spotted some red flatworms in the 20g tank today. It's been setup for 2 months. Follow the thread on my flatworms issue in the 20g here:

BTW, the LR - only possible source for the flatworms as nothing else except cleaner crew and dry sand was introduced - came from MWC. So QT or treat your corals from there before putting them in display. It's just good practice to do so.

I've fought flatworms twice. I think both times they came from MWC. I also know that they have treated at least one of their tanks in the store. They had never used flatworm exit and asked me some questions about it. The first time I think they came in on my LR, the second time they showed up was shortly after I added a torch....

Alright.. I just got news that the LFS in Lansing got tank raised percs in for me and they will be putting them in the anemone tank to see which they'll host in after they're in QT for about a week ...

well, this prompted me to prune the forest in the 20g - those here yesterday got to see all the macro algae that I just let grow in there.... Until today

It took about an hour... the hair algae was the worst to pull... jeez.. I got lucky with my first tank I guess... that stuff sticks to your fingers and had to get wiped off... as a result, the rockwork is setup a little different... it may get changed up alittle again soon.. don't know yet.

I got the tank raised ORA true perculas from Preuss pets and they've settled in nicely in to the green BTA I got tiwth them as well. I was extremely happy with the service and the health of the fish and anemone.

I will post photos liekly on wednesday in the build link - if my schedule permits.

I updated the 20g build thread with some news. Photos will be posted in a day or so.

I had quit my job last Tuesday and my last day will be 18th. I have another job lined up as Project Manager for a reputable general contrator in South Bend. It'll be a little change of pace from engineering but it'll round out my experience.
