Bought used tank - got questions

I just found a good deal on a tank that was on craigs list. It is a 125 gallon glass tank. There are a couple things wrong with it that I hope wont be a problem. I believe it is an All Glass tank b/c it looks exactly like my 75 All Glass. The first problem is that on one of the edges it looks like the glass was chipped away from it a little bit. The glass is a 1/2" think and it is barely chipped away. Here are 2 pics of it.
This is looking right at it:

This is from the side to see how deep it goes:

The other problem is that the plastic rim is cracked on the top half. It is such a clean cut that I think it was supposed to be like that but am not to sure about that. It is right in the middle of the tank.

The last problem was when I was taking it home, it was sitting at a weird angle in my trunk and the plastic bottom trim ended up cracking directly under the same spot as the top crack.
Here's a pic looking at it from the bottom of the tank:

And here is one from the front:

I am kind of pissed at myself for causing the last one, but oh well. I know you can buy new trim pieces but dont know where or how much they cost. Also, are they hard to replace?

Lastly, here is a pic of the whole tank:

The dimensions are 48" W x 24" D x 25-1/2" H. I brought it home and filled it with water and its been sitting for a few hours now and no problems. Hopefully it wasnt to bad of a purchase for $100. So, do you think it will hold water? I also plan on drilling it for an overflow and a closed loop.

I had a 110g tanks with chipped glass like that and the top brace broken. It held water for years until I upgraded. Despite looking fine My next tank leaked from the bottom and that was not fun at all. The broken frame on the bottom would concern me. It may hold water now but If a leak down the road will cost you $1000's in live stock/ repairs it is hardly worth not taking the time to replace the frame and reseal the tank.

I would say to replace the trim pieces as well...both top and bottom. The chips I would not worry about. I had a couple chips worse than that on my old 55. It sat with water for 2 yrs with no leaks.

The chipped glass would not bother me at all, it looks like a surface chip from something running into it. The broken trim pieces are another story. I would replace them before I put that much water and livestock in my house. Like Betamed said, for piece of mind I would fix or replace the tank bofore loading it up. On a tank this size, the cost of the tank is pretty small in comparison. Let us know what you decide to do.

Chip isn't bad the frameshould be replaced.Or if your stand covers it ,glue it and/or brace it and take a chance.

Any ideas on where I can buy new trim pieces and how hard are they to replace?

Like the others said--the chips shouldn't be a problem, but replace the trim (although I can't help you on where to find them).
Maybe you could get away with making a wood trim? If you're handy with those things it would be fairly inexpensive and look sweet. I'd make it just like the plastic one and it should work, shouldn't it? The top brace would need to be pretty well painted/sealed though.
