AquaController..thoughts?

I'm thinking of buying an AquaController JR. from Neptune systems.
Does anyone have an experience with it?

I assume that I have to buy the DC9 with it. But, I'm not 100% sure what I'm getting myself into.

I just want one to automate simple things, temp, co2 reactor, water changes, etc.

Thoughts? Experience?

Check out the Digital Aquatics Reefkeeper II--I don't have one, but they look interesting...

I use my AC jr to control lights - when they come and turn off as well as if the temp gets too warm in the tank, I have lights turning off... I have it controlling fans and heaters for temperature as well... I have the pH monitoring but not for use with a calcium reactor - though you can... you just need to get a solenoid that'll get plugged in to the DC8... I also use the controller to control when the koralia and nanostreams come on in the day and for feedings... I keep less flow at night to give the fish a rest..

I do wish I got the serial connection so I could program from my computer and download the log...

In all, I've been happy with it.. there are threads in the RC forum for Neptune that show people have had the temperature probe give up on them.. supposedly the new controllers have a better temperature probe so that issue has been resolved... Mine has been working great for nearly 2 years now...

Curt (the guy at Neptune's customer service) is good. He sent me a different wire than what was originally supplied (from DC8 to controller) because it was picking up interference - and messing with the controls...

After looking at the ReefKeeper 2, I think I'm swaying towards it. One thing that is big for me is the PC connection. Software seems more up to date with the RK2 as well.

And...the RK2 is a bit cheaper. So....

The one I would really want is the Lighthouse Controller from Premium. It cost more though. The downside is that you can't change the settings over the internet.
