I use chemi pure elite. I think it has made a big diff. I have one bag in my overflow and another in my sump. Water is crystal clear

kzguns...how do you get the water to go through the bag? Mine just clogs everything in my refugium and when i put it in my sump it makes it almost overflow and just pour over the bag

I have it in the bag in my overflow which is quite large and in my sump it's hanging from a baffle so the water flows right thru

Elite

I've used this product well over a year, at first did do a great job water crystal clear and NO algae at all.
Just recently I had a major breakout of algae in my tank to the point I had to pull all my live rock out and get a tooth brush to remove all algae ( I religiously due 10% W/C weekly)
The chemi clean states to change every 6-8 months I was changing every 4 months ( I was using the 11.75 oz bag on my 55 gallon reef)
So I did give it a great review but now I just don't know

Are you still using it? My water is clean but I definitely have macro. Could be the bulb? I only feed every other day, and my lights ate on only 8hrs a day. Tank is mostly softies , 1 royal gramma, green clown goby in a 12g

liveaquaria has a sale on chemipure right now. Remember to get elite if you want to take care of phosphates as well.
