DIY Wet/Dry

My Hubby built a wet/dry recently (lots of snow days!) He used a 20gal tank and two small buckets from Home Depot... He drilled holes in the bottom of the buckets and place a filter pad in the top one and bioballs in the bottom bucket... Then suspened them from the top of the tank... So far it has been working great and much cheeper than a new wet/dry would have been!! Just thought I would share...

Here is a pic!

Let me know if you are interested in any specs....

Hey, no knock to someone testing their water regularly!

It just makes my lack of organization and messy `fish cupboard' look really lame.

So this wet-dry is for the FOWLR? Personally I took the one I got with my setup [used] out for my reef tank - and happily watched the nitrates drop like a rock. But for a FOWLR ... not a bad thing.

The Bio Balls are being slowly removed from my 75 and moved to the FO... I am in the process of setting up a refugium for the 75... Wanna grow a couple of mangroves... We will see how that works...

Pay no attention to the tank behind the towel

.....

Ok - so now you GOTTA post pics of the tanks in question, now that I'm totally wondering about what this cool DIY supports.

Here is a pic that shows more... The towel is up to block the light from flooding the room blue!! Once we have installed all the tanks we are going to face everything with plywood and trim.. Kinda like most LFS but alittle nicer b/c it is our dinning room!!
