Thanks Roger.
My bulkheads finally came in the mail, so I'll be doing wet tests soon. Still need to order some pumps from bluezoo.
I decided to cut the sump down to a 5.5 gallon to free up some room in the stand.

Holes drilled. I ordered 2 1/2" bulkheads and 4 1" but ended up having 6 1" sent; so still waiting on 1/2" and 2" bulkheads before I start plumbing.

What thickness glass did you use on that? If 1/4" you sure lucked out on the garage sale find. Are you going to put any braces on the top?
You did a real neat job on the drilling.

All 1/4" glass. The garage sale find really helped, the glass store wanted $12 for a panes of that size. I may put a stainless steel band all around the top of the tank, just for joint reinforcement. I was going to do the eurobracing but decided against it, the 24" sides bow a hole 1/32 of an inch when water is at the very top.
For the diamond holesaws I think I spent all together $32 for 4 bits (1 3", 2 1.25", and 1 1.75"). Ebay is good.
Thanks for the compliments guys!

I am on my 3rd coat of polyurethane on the stand, 4th on the door, and 5th on the stand base. Still need to sand the hood, but i need to see if the lighting will work before its finished.
Bulkheads and pumps are still in the mail.
I'm pretty much at a standstill at the moment. I guess I did get one of the 5.5 gallon sump tanks (traded some GSP ), that's drilled and ready. The second one should be here on Friday.

Hey mate,
WOW! you certainly posses a lot of talent. I love your design!!!. In all seriousness you should comercialise your designs. There's big bucks in tank design, seriously mate, you should do some custom work.
Lets hope your setup inside the tank matches the outside, I think we're staring at the winner right now.

Thank you greggles. We'll see who wins it in the end, a lot of great designs entered so far. I'm just trying not to rush so my quality stays decent.
