To tell you the truth i dont know much about him. My LFS guy said it was non photosynthetic but he could be wrong or i could have heard him wrong. Its one of my favorite things in my 20. The branches are all light blue while the "fingers" (dont know the proper term at the moment) are all a navy blue/purple. I have had him for probably 2 months. He hasnt grown much so i figure im either doing something wrong or it just grows slow. Ill try to get some pics of it if i can only get this *&#^& Camera to work.lol

Sorry to ask so many questions, but.....!
Do you feed him? He's in a 20, what type skimmer do you have, how much turnover, fish? Trying to get some idea of how "clean" our tank is. Some non-photosynthetc corals can survive without feeding if the tank is not heavily skimmed for sps corals. Just curious what kind of system it is. An lfs in Pensacola has some, very cool, and I'm trying to get info on them before purchase. Oh, and gorgonians typically grow very slow anyway.

No promblem with questions. Gives me an excuse to talk about something i think i know about.lol I am probably one of the worst reefers on this site. lol My 20 does not have a skimmer. Thats right i said it doesnt. I cant afford a store bought one and i cant make sence of directions on the internet. As far as filtration i use mostly the 40 plus LBs of live rock in the tank, as well as a AC 150 with carbon. There is only one powerhead in the tank but it does have like 6.5 watts per gallon which is probably the only large investment ive put into it. I am a really poor teenager but im about to upgrade to halides. As far as turnover it probably doesnt have much. There is hardly any water movement but i have a very small powerhead pointing directly at it. For feeding i do a whole lot. Basically everyday i add zoo plex and phytoplex(?) plus various live liquids that i keep in my fridge. I also add blendermush and formulas one and two. When i can i put mysis shrimp in my blender and add that to. To much someone may ask. Perhaps. But i do 40% water changes weekly. Like i said i am not the best reefkeeper but i do my best. If you or anyone else has sugestions as to how i can change my setup please tell me. But like i said i am poor so keep that in mind.

lol...I am out of town right now. As soon as i get back ill definatly post some pics. I am praying that my tank will be fine without me. Its the longest ive been away from it at one time... Guess i have separation anxiety. I left it in thr hands of my brother. Ill get a pic of the origional that it was fragged off of. Its probably ten times bigger and under much better conditions. Im supposed to be bac on wednesday. I agree tho, I wanna hear some updates!!!!
