Nice pair, they appear to have bonded quite nicely!

Great photos, both of you!

The shrimp is so hyper - here they are excavating the site for the 2007 Super Bowl:

Well, as you can see in the pic below, we've gotten a royal dottyback to keep the shrimp from digging up the whole tank. It doesn't stop him, just doesn't do it out in the open so much now. We've gotten close to finishing the coral placement, lots of zoanthids, some really pretty ones Casey gave me some time ago, plus your typical lagoon inhabitants, brains, Pocillipora, mushrooms, gorgonians, etc. Plus a few Monti's and Acro's thrown in for fun. We've got one more return nozzle to cover, the acro on the sand at right is acclimating now. The others are covered with different star poyps. Casey, that bright green one on the back is unreal. Thanks for the frag! Just a few more things and this tank will be complete, just have grow in to go. Corraline is popping up all over the baserock, and the zoanthids are spreading quite nicely. Unbelievably, we've had to put a heater in, to keep the temp from dropping too low when the lights off!

Here's a sort of our "po-folks" combo baffle/media filter that we place under the overflow. Keeps microbubbles out and the carbon is keeping the hardies and softies compatible.

Here's a closeup of our "zoanthid tree". Not sure if it'll stay there or be moved though. We think it's cool.

Thanks Kelli!
Zoanthids are hard to find around here, so I stole these out of Roger's nano last night. They opened up real nice this morning. I'll place them on the back wall and this tank will be stocked!

Just wait till everything explodes over the next six months or so. Those xoanthids have such great coloration, I cant wait to see how the whole thing looks after all those colonies start to cover up the rock.

Day by Day things are growing along. I noticed that everything was all closed up yesterday, we got to checking and the salinity was way too high, 1.030. Apparently we topped off with salt water at least one day, figured since the water plant uses the same Mag 7 for salt and topoff, the valve was likely left in the salt position. Gradually diluted it during the day until the concentration was back to normal, 1.025.
When Roger attached this gorgonian, he damaged it where it went into the epoxy. Thought we'd document how long it took to heal.

Surprising since gorgonians can grow so slow, it took just a week to repair itself and begin covering the epoxy at the base!

I think it apparently grew so fast because I didn't damage it to the core. I did scrape to the core for inserting into the epoxy, to prevent rot, but the part I was holding got "skinned" and it grew back quickly!

Thanks Guys!
I know they're only small changes but it's exciting to see growth. When we first put the tubastrea in the tank we hoped we could keep it alive as it takes a lot of dedication, which we weren't sure we had! Anyway, here's an exciting development, the tubastrea is budding. We wondered how it would accomplish it, and now we know! We're very excited!
